Time is measured on a 24-hour clock, 9 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.
To build an equivalency in your mind, use this table. (All U.S. times are the day before the current day in Japan.)
|Japan||Pacific Time||Mountain Time||Central Time||Eastern Time|
|(GMT+9)||(GMT -8)||(GMT -7)||(GMT -6)||(GMT -5)|
To help you become accustomed to using the 24-hour clock, all times in this and other KCP websites use the 24-hour clock. To convert the 24-hour clock to our 12-hour clock, simply subtract 12 hours for times after noon (12:00). For example, 20:00 becomes 8:00 pm.
Daylight savings time is not observed in Japan.
